Cobhams Asuquo, revealed he is working with Haitian former Fugees member, Wyclef Jean on a collaborative project that will feature singer Asa.
Cobhams is currently in the United States alongside other Nigerian singers for the One Africa Music Festival coming up this weekend in New York. He is said to have hooked up with the Haitian music guru in his New York studio, he finally got him to accept working on a song together with iconic singer, Asa.
“You have a song for us?” Wyclef asks Cobhams.
“Yes. I’ve been writing the song for years. I’ve been looking for when you both will jump on it,” the music producer replies.
And the former Fugees singer accepted the offer, “I’ll jump on it.”
Excited, Cobhams shared this on his Instagram:
“In the presence of greatness @wyclefjean Be careful what you dream about. Dreams really come true. I had dreamt of meeting him, created music inspired by him, even written music 10 years ago hoping that someday himself and @asa_music perform it. Now I’m in the studio learning from him.”
