John Legend takes fans back to the “Start” with his latest jam, a mellow cut off the soundtrack for Southside with You .
The song is appropriate, of course, because Southside is based on the start of President Barack Obama’s relationship with the First Lady of the United States, Michelle.
“I don’t know where the road leads,” sings Legend over melodic piano keys. “You don’t know if I’ll break your heart / We don’t know how the winds will blow / And we won’t know, we won’t go unless we start.”
