Once one of the hottest labels in the rap world with Lil Wayne, the rest of the Hot Boys and the Big Tymers, the label is now often in the news because of Birdman's inability to pay his artists and related labels' — namely Young Money — artists their just due. Baby reportedly owes the likes of Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Tyga millions, and if Birdman's reputation over the last decade and a half shows anything, he won't be handing out the debt anytime soon.
In the meantime, Birdman hasn't released his own project and another Rich Gang compilation, which were supposed to arrive around the last week of June.
If Birdman has anything to show beyond the lawsuits, failure to drop projects and being thesubject of a momentarily funny meme, it's Jacquees' Lost At Sea mixtape.
The Atlanta native signed in 2014 and released his second project under the label in 2016, with the latter alongside Birdman. The two tapes are the only thing (outside of Views, which had zero connection to Cash Money aside from the label benefiting monetarily) Cash Money has to show for itself this year.
Today, though, Jacquees and Birdman revisit the project with two videos for "Wise Up" and "Money Up," which features Florida rapper Caskey.
As many a Birdman-featured video has done before, the visuals sport plenty of women and pleasent scenery as Jacquees, Baby and Caskey rap along to their respective lyrics.
